Termly Newsletter
We are impressed on a daily basis by the curiosity and enthusiasm shown by our students to their learning. Our latest Newsletter gives us the chance to reflect on a very full spring term and gives readers an insight to the wonderful things that have taken place.
As well as the usual lessons, practice examinations, fixtures, and ongoing focus on our tweaks to Teaching and Learning, Assessment, and Behaviour for Learning, there has been an incredibly large range of activities and events that have taken place. We have had careers talks and mock interviews; we have had a number of evening events for parents; World Book Day and British Science Week have seen members of staff wearing unusual and creative attire, aimed at inspiring our students; performance poet and rapper, Kimba gave a highly engaging assembly and then ran writing workshops which led to some amazing work being produced; Comic Relief Day saw Amery again coming together as a community and a true force for good, and the final week of term saw our Year 10 students going out on their Work Experience placements.
None of this would happen without the huge support from the entire Amery Hill School community - our parents, staff and of course our wonderful students. So thank you, and happy reading!
